Seriously, Clogs? Yeah, Seriously.
As much as I scoffed when I first saw these old clunky heels appearing at fashion week, I have to grudgingly admit I’m kinda into it now.
I mean sure, they’re, you know… clogs and all. But really, what’s not to love? A shoe that slips on with ease, is uber comfortable and gives off that cool, casual ‘I’m all free-spirited-neo-seventies, did yousee my Instagrams from Coachella?’ vibe.
The humble clog is having it’s moment in the sun (quite literally). Kate Moss, ever the muse for laid back style, switched her Alaïa heels for a pair of buffed leather clogs while out and about in London this week, and if Kate’s wearing them… this summer it’s all about the Swedish slip on beloved by nurses and art teachers everywhere (we have Saint Laurent, Chanel and Isabel Marant to thank for the return of the particularly free spirited footwear on the catwalk – their rather divine versions are in store now). — VOGUE
Expect to see clogs everywhere soon… maybe even on your feet.
One last tip: be sure to avoid the high-heeled versions – the modern femme bohemian doesn’t totter, or post leg selfies.
